What it does
AI Visibility Monitor tracks how often a brand is named in Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT answers, benchmarks that against a panel of competitors, and outputs an HTML dashboard.
The problem
Classic SEO tools report rankings and clicks. They don't tell you whether an AI answer names your brand, names a competitor instead, or cites a forum thread you have never seen. Checking by hand doesn't scale, and a single check means little because AI answers change from one run to the next.
I needed a repeatable way to measure brand visibility in AI answers for a fixed set of queries, and to see it next to the competitors that matter.
How it works
The tool starts from a list of queries and a panel of brands: the one being measured and the competitors to compare it with. It pulls mention data for those queries from the DataForSEO LLM Mentions API, covering Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT.
For each brand it calculates mention share: the proportion of answers that name it. It breaks this down by engine and lists the sources the answers cite most often. The output is a single HTML dashboard that can be shared or archived, so runs can be compared month to month.
The dashboard reads as a trend, not a verdict. Because individual answers vary, the useful signal is how mention share moves across many queries over time.
